At The Valle, we offer two choices for women’s suiting: Made-to-Order (made-to-measure with our selections) and Custom (made-to-measure with your choice of selections and fit). We do not cut the fabric until we receive your order with both options.

Made-to-Order

With any Made-to-Measure (MTM) offering, there can be hundreds of customization choices: fabrics, linings, buttons, lapels, designs, fit, thread colour. The Valle has put together a selection of designs that we know are tried and tested. We’ve taken away most of the guess-work, but still give the option of choosing a style that is unique to you.

Custom

We are all unique. If one of our Made-to-Order styles is not what you are looking for – perhaps you want to change the fabric or change the lapel – our custom MTM is the option for you.

No matter what you decide, feel free to reach out to us and we will be happy to help you. Your garment will be ready in 4-6 weeks with either option.

Suit fabrics are imported from Europe and around the world. 

Deadstock & vintage fabric - Some of our styles are made from deadstock fabrics. We buy leftover and over-ordered fabric from other companies, tailors, and fabric warehouses. This allows us to divert these materials from going to the landfill.

Some of our products are made from vintage clothing. We buy vintage pieces from companies across North America to repurpose into new pieces. This helps reduce the CO2 emissions released per person in a year.

Linen - Some of our styles are made from Linen. Linen is known to be a strong fabric that is eco friendly. Made from flax, it is known to emit less carbon than cotton per pound of fibre and hardly uses water.

Organic cotton - Some of our styles are made from organic cotton. Organic cotton contains less chemicals, making it safe for the environment.

Our collection is designed in Toronto, Canada and produced with high quality fabrics sourced around the world. Each garment is cut from scratch to fit each person’s fit and style.

We are proud to design everything in Toronto and work closely with our manufacturing partners in Europe, Asia and Canada.

Yes! Please contact us if you have a certain style, fit or fabric in mind! We would love to see it and bring your vision to life!

From our fabrics to accessories, we’ve taken the utmost care with our product selection, choosing only the highest quality materials. Our team has extensive experience in apparel. We work directly with a manufacturing team that has been producing garments for 40+ years, allowing us to address production challenges immediately and effectively.

Please also be assured that our master tailor reviews each measurement profile and will alert you if any measurement appears to be inconsistent. This is another step we take to ensure you receive the perfect fit.

The fashion industry has lots of data on sizes up to size 14, but is limited on sizes above this. With this data we are able to build out patterns and a size algorithm that we are confident can create a perfect fit.

We recognize that there is a gap in the market, and we aim to ensure that all sizes are catered to. We offer custom apparel for all sizes through a virtual or in-person consultation. This allows us to ensure that our customers are satisfied with the fit of their garment. We are consistently working towards ensuring that all sizes are offered on our website for easy ordering.  

Yes we do! We specialize in womenswear, but our master tailors and production team have extensive experience in men’s tailoring. Contact us to learn more!

Virtual Consultation

Our team of Stylists have an extensive amount of experience and have been in the fashion industry for 10+ years.

We will start by getting to know you, your fit concerns and personal style.

You can wear a slim fitting t-shirt or shirt. You should also wear the bra that you are planning to wear with the garment. This will help us to ensure a perfect fit.

You can bring a measuring tape and any inspirational pictures.

Your stylist will send you a email recap with your measurements and style recommendations.

Alterations

Our commonly asked questions about the alteration process.

Contact us! We want to make sure that you love your garment.

If the garment doesn't fit the way it is supposed to, please contact us! For your first garment of any category, any necessary alterations & remakes are free if you complete a Fit Review within 7 days of receiving your order. Start the resolution process by emailing us at hello@thevalle.ca. We will walk you through the process.

If it's alterable, we'll cover the cost of the alterations, up to 25% of the price of the garment. We will ask that you send us a photo so we can pinpoint the fit issues. We will then confirm if you should proceed with alterations instead of a remake.

For a remake, we'll help you schedule a follow-up consultation to figure out what went wrong and to do a remake on the house. 

Please note, alterations and remakes do not apply for adjustments outside of the design intent of the garment, but we will do everything to ensure that you love your custom garment.

Shipping, Returns & Delivery

Our office is located in Toronto, Canada and ships within North America.

Please contact us directly if you reside outside of North America and you would like to purchase a garment.

We offer free shipping within Canada.

It will take approximately 4 – 6 weeks to arrive. We will keep you updated on when it goes into production and once it arrives at our office.

Contact us! Depending on when your event is there may be an ability to rush your order for an extra cost. We will do our best to accommodate. Email us at hello@thevalle.ca with the date and location of your event, and we'll look into it for you.
